Service

PermitProof organizes available public permit information for insurance-professional workflows. It is not an underwriting, engineering, inspection, legal, or code-compliance service.

Cost, renewal, and cancellation

PermitProof offers a free plan and a paid subscription. The free plan permits up to 3 property searches per calendar month at no charge; it requires no payment method, is not a trial, and never converts into a paid subscription or incurs a charge on its own. Every search the account starts is counted toward the allowance, whether or not the jurisdiction can be searched automatically; a submission rejected for an invalid address is not counted. The monthly count resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC), and PermitProof may modify the free plan's allowance prospectively - the allowance in effect is shown in the application. PermitProof Access is a paid subscription. It includes unlimited address searches: there is no usage quota, no per-search charge, and no overage. The price and the billing interval in effect are disclosed on the Cost and access page inside the application, and must be acknowledged there, before any payment method is entered. Payment is processed by Stripe; PermitProof stores no card details. The subscription renews automatically for successive billing periods, at the price acknowledged at purchase, until it is cancelled, and there is no minimum term; an existing subscription continues at the price its Stripe subscription names, and moving it to a different price requires a new acknowledged purchase. An account holder may cancel at any time, without telephoning or emailing anyone, from the Cost and access page inside the application, which opens PermitProof's billing portal at Stripe; if the portal cannot be opened for an account, support completes the cancellation on request. Cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the billing period already paid for: the subscription's unlimited access continues until then and is not withdrawn early, no refund is issued for the remainder of that period, and the account then returns to the free plan's monthly allowance. A copy of the renewal terms and the cancellation method remains available on the Cost and access page inside the application for as long as the subscription exists. Access may be restricted if an account is deactivated.
